I'm having a problem getting a Sandisk Mini 256mb USB
storage device to work on my laptop, running WinXP Pro.
When I plug it in, I get an error about running slower
than USB2.0 or something along those lines, but nothing
else happens. There's no new drive available, and the
device manager shows this Cruzer Mini Device as an
unknown device. The driver (I think usbstor.sys) SHOULD
have been in my system from what I've read, but when I
went to chech, it was not in the system32/drivers folder.
This device does work on my other computer, a desktop
running XP Home. I tried copying the usbstor.sys and even
that part of the registry over to my laptop, still no
luck. What's up with this, anyone know how to fix it?
Thanks in advance.
