Flickering Screen on windows 7.

Hi

I have a windows 7 pc. I'm using an Ati Radeo 5450 graphics card. My screen flickers on bootup...after it warms up it's normal and stays that way.

I thought it was the driver. So, I ugraded the driver. It worked for a day and then it went back to flickering!

I then replace the video card with the same. I got the same result. So, I assume it's something else!

Please help me!

try installling windows xp....
if there is no such problems,then most probably you are having those issues with your win7
which edition of win7 are u using?

Thanks for your response. I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium. I don't have a copy of XP to install. Do you think I have to reformat my HD and reformat?

ok,have you tried updating your graphics card drivers(catalyst 12.11)?try it

no,i don't think that you have to format your hdd,try installing the latest graphics drivers and if possible do a bios update,but be careful a bad flash can harm your mobo and ram.

Thanks for responding. The first thing I did was update my driver. That lasted for about a day. Then I bought a new graphics card (same model) and updated the drivers. Again that lasted about a day. It's not a major problem. It only happens during bootup for several minutes..then it stops for the rest of the day.
