Need help with a build, $1500 or less

I am looking at building a computer for a friend he said he wants to spend at most 1500$, The main uses will be for watching movies, surfing the web and doing homework and occasionally video games. He said he wants it to be fast and not want to wait on stuff to load a lot.


What would be a couple good parts for this?

I have as follows but im not sure if its..overkill or not, he doesnt want a lot of lag or wait between loading apps and internet and programs..

Looks good. I'd throw in an additional 120gb ssd to run games from. And a hyper 212 plus cooler for overclocking, seeing how you're going with a k series processor

Probably is overkill though, seeing how its only for occasional gaming.

Yep, looks a bit overkill for occasional gaming. If he doesn't play that demanding of games, you could save some money and switch to a 7870 or 7850 and redirect to ssd, cooler, and 7200 rpm drive.
