Hello, I'm replacing my old videocard (4850) because it's time for something new. I was thinking about getting a 7850 since they deliver some excellent performance for the money (€180). However I recently saw a 660 (non Ti) for €20 more. Which one do you recommend?
Oh, I do have a SFF casing (a Silverstone Sugo SG02). Will it fit?

Oh, I have a 2600K
OCZ Modstream X pro 500 Watt
8gb

Alright then, maybe I'm wrong there. It just doesn't seem like a good fit to me. I'd be very worried about airflow with that card.

Great find i think this is best answer worthy ;)

Haha. I do it when it's the best option to the best of my knowledge. That it's generally not the best option is not my fault. Besides, I've recommended 660s several times before (although it's really the only Nvidia card that I've recommended much at all within the last few weeks), so it's nothing new for me.

fair enough was the first time i recall seeing it was shocked

even 7850 users like me have to agree that the 660 is better than it. albeit the 7850 has the larger bus, its stregnth isn't at the point yet to fully use it to its capabilities. the performance gap between a 7850 and the 7870 uis moderate, and 12.11 slightly increased that gap, as the 7870 received the biggest gains. the 660 is more or less similar to the 660ti, with a tiny bit less, and comparing the 7850 to the 660ti is a moderately large gap, which includes the 660 in that sense. IMO the 2 gb models will phase out sorta, and will be for people who want to crossfire 7850's, as the 1gb models are now the standard level for budget gaming IMO. where the 660 is the next step up from the 1gb 7850.

Yeah, I'd say that the 660 is with the 7870 as the next step over the 7850 in stock performance.
