for the same amount of money (or maybe lesser) i rather recommend amd hd7770 that performs better and consume less power

You stated that you "cant play games like bf3 black ops" and you want to play Assassins Creed III, which you can't run with your current card. So obviously you need to upgrade, which makes your yes/no question kind of pointless.

Why not cancel the preorder. Buy the 650ti and use the preorder money to spot the difference since the 650ti comes with the game?

it is useless doing sli with that range of cards anyway. If u are going to do sli u need atleast a GTX 680 or 690 otherwise just get a better single card.

edit: @MOHAWK117
always mention ur current system components while posting a question. Especially the psu model for gpu question

u still didn't answer my other question

goto nvidia control panel>manage 3d settings>global
check the power management mode option
If it is adaptive turn it to prefer max performance mode and see whether the problem still persists

Dude you can also go for a HD6850 It's Better than the GTX 550ti but it requires 11Watts more than a GTX 550ti and it is of 11000₹ if you are in budget HD7770 is your best deal its under 9000₹ But its not better than HD6850. BTW which is your PSU (Power Supply Unit)?

If you post your Power Supply Unit's details it would be better to suggest you a good GPU.

A psu is a power supply unit. It looks like a box out of which a lot of wires are coming out.
U cannot see the model no from software. U need to open the cabinet and check the model no. Also check what is written on +12V. Confused take a picture and post it

if that is the only powerful card you can afford, why not? But if I were you, I would save up a little more and get a GTX 660ti. It's not practical to buy $500 and up cards since all games this year or maybe even next year can be played through this card on ultra settings.
