Hello,
when I boot up my screen goes blank after about 30 seconds. The HP screen and the Windows XP screen come up but then everything goes blank, I tried booting up in the safe mode and it will stay on a little longer maybe 4 to 5 minutes then goes blank. I tried hooking up an external monitor but got nothing. When it did boot up for that 4 to 5 minutes the screen looked just fine. When the screen goes blank I can't do anything. Would you think this problem would be in the screen or the video card or something else? This computer is 6 years old and if I can't get it running I would at least want to get the information off my hard drive.
