HDMI and DVI,WIN7,ATI RADEON HD 4200

HDMI and DVI ,WIN7, ATI RADEON HD 4200

I had dual monitors ( dvi/vga) no problems.
I installed an HDMI monitor.
The HDMI is the only monitor recognized.
The PC no longer recognizes the VGA or DVI monitors even if the HDMI is not connected to the PC.
I updated the video card and rebooted but my DVI monitor is still not recognized.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

okay so part of that isnt true . another reboot and i went back to my old system.
however i still cant use HDMI with the DVI monitor
