First, sorry about the cross post. Just realized this was probably a better place to post this particular question.

I have a Sony PCV-LX800. Currently, it has one of the two PC133 mem slots filled with a 256Meg stick. The specs say it is only upgradeable to 512. My guess is this was because it was put out before you could really get a 512 Meg stick. My question is if anyone knows if you can use 512 Meg sticks so I can either upgrade to 768 or 1Gig of RAM.

I would bet that the specs say what they mean to say. It would be my guess that manufactures know what's coming down the road, and if the specs could handle 512 sticks they would have said so.
