Hello,
I'm looking to upgrade my current computer to handle games. I'm not knowledgeable when it comes to computer parts so I'm looking for some advice. I can currently run Arma 2 (DayZ) but my FPS is terrible even at the lowest possible settings. I'm looking to be able to run that smoothly and possibly be able to run planetside 2 but that's not a necessity. I don't have much to spend and I don't know where to start. I assume the graphics card is the first priority, but what else would I need to upgrade and what would the price range be? Here are my specs:

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601)
System Model: p6717c
Processor: AMD Athlon™ II X4 640 Processor (4 Cpus), ~3.0GHz
Memory: 5120MB RAM

Graphics Card: ATI Radeon HD 4200
-Chip Type: ATI display adapter (0x9710)
-DAC Type: Internal DAC(400MHz)
-Approx. Total Memory: 2428MB
-Current Display Mode: 1600 x 900 (32 bit) (59Hz)

Let me know if you need any more information and thanks in advance!

Well, it seems like you have a HP, which would come with a stock 300W power supply. Its all about how much you want to spend. You have a few options here:

Radeon HD7750, will run on current power supply ~ $110

Radeon HD7770, will require new power supply ~ $180 total

That's all I would really do to it.

If your willing to get a 500 Watt Power supply, the Radeon 7850 is and AMAZING card for the money. It can even run Battlefield 3 at almost max settings on 1080p smoothly. Those are my 2 cents.

Graphics card is first priority. With upgrading the graphics, you need a power supply upgrade. Your graphics is integrated, which means we don't know if your motherboard has any PCIe x16 slots. Fortunately, I checked the system. It has 1 available slot for it.

Despite what Deemo13 says, you do not have a 300W power supply. You have a 250W power supply.

Here's a Corsair CX 430W. $46 ($36 after $10 rebate)

Here's an EVGA GTX 650 ti - $140

That's $176 + shipping and your comp will be much better.

Which card is better suited for the games I'm looking to play (Planetside 2, Arma 2, and possibly WoW)? I'm planning on getting the:
Corsair CX 430W and the Raedon HD 7770.

They would be compatible right? Also, with my given specs would there be any bottlenecks?

I don't understand the differences between the various types of Raedon Hd 7770 cards. What's the difference between:

HIS iCooler H777F1G2M Radeon HD 7770 GHz
and
SAPPHIRE 100358L Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition

Also, Which would be preferred for what I'm trying to do? If neither, which would you recommend?

Power supply I'm looking to get:
Corsair CX 430W
