Speaker hum while playing games.

Recently, I purchased an GTX 660 ti superclocked graphics card along with Borderlands 2. While playing, I experience a hum or buzzing noise through my speakers when playing BL2. I have a 2.1 Kilpsch speaker set up that I have plugged directly into the motherboard. When I unplug the speakers the humming stops. It doesn't matter if I plug directly into the motherboard or the audio jacks in the front of the machine.

I would think this is interference, but I want to make sure before I start actually diagnosing problems with the graphics card.

So, in your experience, what do you think the problem could be?

That is normal, as long as it is not too audible then it is normal. Also your GPU would not have anything to do with it. It is your speakers or just some minor interference.

Why wouldn't it? When I increase the frames per second cap in the ingame settings and frames boost up, the hum gets to be more of a higher pitch. Also, that is not the video card as I disconnected speakers and it quit.

It could very well be the game, try playing another one.

That doesn't seem to make sense to me either, but I'll try it!

Could you explain why you would consider the idea of it being the game itself?
