Hi guys!

A friend of mine has a very slow bootup time on his computer.
He is running mb: Asus Crosshair V Formula and AMD FX 6100 processor.

Please see the youtube video of his bootup:

As u can see some Marvell adapter is searching for drives, he has to press space and then the computer restarts.

Someone please help? :??:

Thanks in advance!

Please provide specs. I would suggest attaching the boot drive to the native sata instead of the marvel. Then disable the marvel. That should save some of that searching time.

It looks like this is a very slow hard drive (5400rpm?) that's one reason we need specs.

Also, defraggler and cclean.

Thanks for your answer.

Specs:

GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 3GB GDDR5
CPU: AMD FX-6100
MB: ASUS Crosshair V Formula, Socket-AM3+
RAM: Kingston DDR3 HyperX 1600MHz 8GB
SSD: Corsair SSD Force Series GT 120GB 2.5"
PSU: Corsair CX 600W PSU

Looks like he have a SSD.

Native sata? How does it look like on the Crosshair V Formula motherboard?

I tried to download the manual but the file was corrupted. In the specs they say there are AMD SB950 controller : 6 x SATA 6Gb/s port(s), red. Since your SSD is plugged in already I would look for a different group of red SATA ports and try to pick out SATA0 or 1 (whatever is lowest). Also is should be set up in ahci mode. You may have to do some registry tweeks to change it. Give it a try and tell us what happens.
