Two GPUs, SLI Cable Needed??

hi
i wanted to know if i had a gtx 660 and a 670 and wanted to use the first one for physx and the second one for rendering, do i need to use an SLI cable or not??

    No cable is needed unless you are using SLI, which you aren't.

    For Physx, no you don't need a SLI cable for both GPUs. Even if you want to SLI both cards, you can't SLI them anyway.

  5. You use one as dedicated physx
  6. You can run two identical GPUs in SLI and render and compute PhysX on both of them, just an FYI.
  7. But you don't really gain all that much with a dedicated physx card, especially with a gtx 670...
  8. a gtx 660 for phsx a 96 cuda core gt430 more than enough for dedicated physx yes it will just give 2-3 fps more on a gtx 670 maybe less
