So I found some really low priced graphics cards that look fairly fast. I dont need to max out games really, just run them at moderate settings without lagging out like i do now with my silly geforce 8600 :(

This one is cheaper, but less reviews.

More expensive, but not by much, more reviews.

Just curious if the manufacturers had a difference that would matter a whole lot, and if anyone knows if they would work with this build:
(they arent on the pcpartpicker list so I dont know for sure, but I think they would be)

I have the first one on there as a custom part for now. Thanks!

XD so im smart. . . Just read the how to ask for help sticky.

they are both hd radeon 6770 cards, I just dont know about the manufacturers, also they seem very cheap for performance so it makes me suspicious.

IMHO, you've fallen off on the wrong side of the AMD/Nvidia fence.

This is my "budget build" i cant afford to get the same performance with nvidia card costs. I understand the cons, including overheating and less overall performance. I just want to know if the cards are any good, and which manufacturer has a better rep with graphics cards. If you know of a similarly priced nvidia card that has close to the same specs, i would be happy to hear about it.

@ram1009 What is the point of there even being an AMD/Nvidia fence? They trade blows. Far too close to call in each generation. With the latest 12.11 driver release and game bundles, AMD is actually in the lead at the moment. I'm sure in a few months Nvidia will respond and spend a little time in the lead too. Making a fan club about it is pointless unless you are an investor.

for AMD, I would go XFX, that's what I have, it's been working great.

I would get a 7770 or 7750 instead though.

What is the budget for this GPU purchase, how much are you willing to spend?

Also I would recommend the i3 3220 instead of that 4170. Better in most games, and uses less power. But again its just my preference.

Edit: Just saw the $15 coupon with that CPU. 4170 in this case is probably better if you are on a tight budget.

They're cheap because they're last gen and low-end cards
