Buying first gaming computer, want to know if this is a good choice

So I found this computer on ibuypower and was wondering if it was a good pick, I can adjust some of the parts if suggested, my budget won't go over 900$ and I don't want to build one.

  1. AMD Processors aren't worth it atm. You're looking at a $900 build, try to find a build with an Intel i5 2xxx series or 3xxx series. For the graphics, look for a Radeon 7950 or a GTX 670.

Yes, I am serious. AMD Processors have been bad for 2 generations now. Just matching same generation processors by price, the Intel ones are much better.
  2. Check out this build

*edit* you can always buy extra RAM for cheaper than what they offer.

If I switched the graphics card and wattage on this computer would this be viable: 978$ AMD radeon 7770

You only need 8GB. And only a 7770 for $900? That's ridiculous. Also, don't get the Phantom. It's 3 years old, no USB 3.0, and it's showing its age.

    Sorry but what's The Phantom?

The case that was picked. I don't think it saves your settings when you link us.

I suggest bringing it up to 8-16GB.

If you're spending over $900 on a build, a 7770 is very weak for the price.

Won't ever use more 8GB when gaming.
