How many cdroms in 1 desktop

We want to set up a cheap cd farm. How many IDE cdrom drives can we reasonably and cheaply put in 1 Wintel desktop box? Choice of Win98 / WinNT / Win2K on a 400 mhz boatanchor. thanks.

You can just adding IDE controller card to the system. Each IDE controller card allow you to add 4 more CD-ROM. I get 2 Promise Ultra 66 for 7 dollar each a while ago.

What do you mean by "cheaply"? The problem is, the more you add, the more it's going to cost you. Usually, it'll be in proportion to how many you put in.
