Will a Graphics card help?

Hello,
Building a new system for work. i7, 16 gigs memory, ssd. I do alot of multitasking between programs. Illustrator, corel, some invoicing programs, a simple cad program. Will a graphics card help with this or will the on board video be just fine?

Which CAD program? I use ProEngineer and you'll need a good gpu with good amount of VRam (2GB is decent enough) for that program.

It is a pattern making program for Clothing. Pretty simple. Its called Optitex.
