CLD 1850 analog sound from PAL LaserVision discs

Hi,

There is a kit available (eg http://www.videotec.co.uk/ldmods.htm) but the
price of 106 UK-pound is very high.
The 1850 isn't 'worth' it.

For 106 UK-pound you better try to find a CLD925 player (both side player
and Ac3 output).

If you don't care for AC-3 output you could also try to buy a CLD2950 (both
side) or a CLD1950 (single side).
And if these models aren't available you are even better of buying a
CLD1750.
(and you can always add AC-3 output later when needed .... if you are handy
you could do it yourself.... schematics can be found on the net...google is
your friend)

The CLD1850/CLD2850 are the 'worst' PAL/NTSC players Pioneer made. Bad
picture quality (compared to the older models) and no PAL laservision audio.

Thank you Roy ! that's what i wanted to know,
i also still have a tray broken Philips 475, but repairing will
be also pretty expensive i guess....
