Nvidia 560ti Driver Problem

hi guys - ive been having problems (since feb) trying to update my driver for my 560 ti. after i try to update the driver, i get an error (code 43?) and the only way to get my card working again is to roll back to a pre feb 2012 driver (then it works again). i dont mind not updating the driver but the computer is starting to freeze after watching a video for 10 min so now i think i have to tackle the problem. i've tried doing a clean install, sweeping the driver, reinstalling windows - all to no avail. advice? thanks.
