Hi guys. I have a couple of questions and hope that you could answer me.
1. I have a laptop and it is has AMD HD 4250 integrated graphics, and its not so cool for high end gaming. So, do all laptops have a PCI or PCIe slot to install a new graphics card? I use a HP pavilion dv6 3010us .
2. Is there a way i can tell if i have PCI or PCIe slot(s) on my laptop without opening it?
No laptops have pci or pcie. They do however have mpcie but that is not for gpus and is usually occupied by the wireless card. Laptop's gpu slot is mxm and only high end gaming laptops will have them. Yours does not have mxm. That laptop is quite old, it would be better to just get a new laptop. I'd mention an egpu but your cpu is so weak.
Laptops may have express card slots which would allow installation of an external graphics card. Expected cost of 400 dollars for a 150 dollar card. That's probably the only way to get good graphics capability onto your computer.
