Can someone explain to me exactly what is done to a 97 when it is "tweaked"?
I've heard that certain things can be adjusted to make the picture even better
than it was normally.

The first thing to do is adjust the tilt and tangental angles which can
lower background noise. Then the DNR can be reversed so that it is off
by default which can reduce the digitized look. Then the frequency
response can be adjusted to sharpen the picture above the factory
setting to achieve a picture more of the sharpness equal to the 704.

Can the other items be performed without reversing the DNR? It can be turned
off, so I can alwasy disable it if I don't like it.

Interesting. If the 704 is sharper then the 97, than in what area(s) is the
97's picture superior to the 704s? I've never seen a side by side comparison of
the two players. Lastly, can a 704 be tweaked as well? And if so, how would you
compare:
1. Tweaked 704 to normal 97
2. Tweaked 704 to tweaked 97?
