I've been using VGA for years, my TV supports VGA, scart and HDMI
with VGA i can get 1440x900 resolution max, it's nice, but games look horrible without anti aliasing which can sometimes hit hard on my 6850.
I tried using my HDMI lead with it and the screen looks like a CRT, kind of out of focus and shakey almost, like it's gently flickering,
According to CCC and controlpanel>display it's 1920x1080, when it's on that my TV says in the top left "HDMI
If I go in a game, I also get the option for 1920x1080 and when I switch to it, it looks like it works almost, but again, it's kind of blury, almost foggy, but there's no CRT-like flickering
my TV is a few years old UMC HDTV, I looked up the model number all over google and even UMC's website(which was hard to find, turns out it's a Serbian company) and apparantly the model number doesn't exist and I even browsed all their TVs and couldn't find mine.
I've heard stuff with samsungs where you can rename HDMI to PC and it tricks the TV into thinking it's a PC connection or something like that
Any suggestions? (btw, I don't the monitors specs, all I know is that it runs 1440x900 max in VGA and supposedly 1980x1080 and underneath the HD-TV sickter it says DV3-T or DVB-T, idk)
