Basically looking for the best card for gaming. Main type of games I play are Blizzard titles like Diablo 3 and WoW being the main focus.

if you will only be playing games like that then you are good with a 650Ti or a 7850 because those games are not demanding at all and those video cards would be a waist but the 7950 is better than the 660Ti but it doesn't matter in those games because you would have to much fps if you have a 60Hz monitor

Agreed devil. But if he plans on playing other games like BF3 or Borderlands 2, he'll be better off with the 7950.

Will you, SdxFactor, be playing/planing on playing any other games of the likes I said up there?

Well not typically when it comes to shooters or games released on Xbox I go with the Xbox since none of my friends do any type of PC gaming.

Basically I play Diablo 3, WoW, League of Legends and probably check out the new MechWarriors.

Also ask I don't really want to have to purchase another computer for a long time will these less expensive video cards stay relevant for 5 years?

The 7850 can also be overclocked to around 1300MHz and remain stable. BUT never ever do that. Taking a gpu to its limit can cause it to deteriorate rapidly. SO if you do overclock leave it around 1250MHz.

That's a huge request, for the card to stay relevant for five years. Even a 680 or 7970 probably wouldn't. The 7950 is a step better than the 660ti. Go with the 7950 but don't expect it to last five years.

If you look back five years ago, the best cards were Nvidia's 8800GTS and AMD's 2900 series. These cards are basically worthless now.

I agree I guess what I mean't is will it be able to handle Diablo 3 and WoW expansion's. Also can the 7850 run Diablo 3 on Ultra settings? Or should I go with the 7950 if that's the kind of performance i'm looking for.

Radeon HD 7950 generally rates higher then the GTX 660 Ti, and the prices are about the same. However I've noticed the nVidia customers tend to feel they have smoother game play. I use a GTX 560 Ti 448 core and mainly play those two titles. I run all my setting near max w/o issue. It looks great, and runs fast and cool. I don't think you can go wrong with either choice, so pick the brand you have had the best experience with, and enjoy.

Dont mean to jump in but i just recently picked up 660ti's and run wow and d3 aswell. Im on full ultra. 90-100 fps in Stormwind peak ours, Monitor is a 42 hdtv @ 60 and no issues at all. I almost went with the 7950's but wanted to save a lil money.

ive seen all different benchmarks and such. im in the same spot as you right now. playing mostly diablo 3 and starcraft 2 ( witch i know for a fact 660ti runs smoother on ultra ) but i also understand that AMD GPU are better at 3D games such as Crysis3, B3, dead space 3.. so i think it really comes down to the types of games you plan on playing.
