Will vb6 work on windows 7

I want to continue using VB6 now that I have had to up-grade to windows 7 but I am told that VB6 doesn't work here; is this true? Seems a bit unfair, I bought VB6 and thought I had got it for life

Visual Basic 6 works on windows 7. I've been programming Visual Basic 6 since college and have done a lot of projects with it. You might also want to disable visual themes and desktop composition under compatibility on the program shortcut.
