Hello, I'm looking at two separate graphics cards. The Asus DirectCu II 7970 and the XFX Double dissipation. I'm wondering preferences on these manufacturers and which one you would buy and why. I'm looking at the DirectCu mainly due to the triple slot cooler and looking at the XFX due to the lifetime warranty. Thanks all.

Specs :
i7 920 @ 3.6 ghz
16GB DDR3 1600
64 GB Corsair SSD
750 Watt Antec PSU
GTX 260

The 7970 is a great card but the only thing I would focus on from the manufacturer is the cooling.

The Asus 7970 reaches 70c at full load while the XFX gets up to 79c. The XFX does have lifetime warranty which is great but I prefer to keep my components as cool as possible.

I would personally get the Gigabyte 7970. It comes overclocked and only gets up to 57c at full load. All these cards come with AMD's game gift pack thing on Newegg.

Cheers.
