Hi folks,

My last system I built as in 2008...I'm happy to say that it still runs descent. I'm by no means a tech guru or expert but have pulled off building my own pc at least twice by now. Since hardware changes so rapidly its alot to keep up with. But I got an itch to build a shuttle barebones. Which will run windows 8.

Im a casual mmo gamer (guild wars 2, rift, etc.) I also fool around with Photoshop & Illustrator for work and portfolio. So Im between home office and casual gamer.

I'd like to keep budget around $1,000.

I wanna hit the new egg check out in a day or so but I wanted to hear feedback from more experienced techies.

Here what I got:

CPU : Intel Core i5-2400 Sandy Bridge 3.1GHz (3.4GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor

GPU: MSI N560GTX-M2D1GD5 GeForce GTX 560 (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP

SSD Crucial M4 CT256M4SSD2 2.5" 256GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

OPTICAL ASUS DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS Black SATA 24X DVD Burner - Bulk - OEM

OS Microsoft Windows 8 64-bit (Full Version) - OEM

CASE Shuttle SH67H3 Intel Core i7 / i5 / i3 (LGA1155) Intel Socket H2(LGA1155) Intel H67 Intel HD Graphics 2000/3000 integrated in the processor 1 x HDMI XPC Barebone

PSU 300 Watt power supply (80 PLUS Bronze)

Feedback and reassurance appreciated

many thanks!

i am sorry to say this, but you choose intel i5 from previous generation
and PSU is only 300W... (i belive you will need 500W++)
