I don't know... I've spent hours on this one, so I figured I would bring it to the table for someone to hopefully chime in.
I have a wireless router acting as a repeater to extend a wifi signal from another house on my property. The repeating router has 'repeater' functionality built into its stock firmware. I am able to connect to the router, and the signal is boosted very well, extending my range considerably. The problem lies in the internet access... for some reason I have none. Sometimes it even tells me I have internet access, but I can never access a web page.
I have found that if I sign on to the main router first, then power on the repeater, I can access the internet until I disconnect then reconnect... then, once again, no internet until I unplug the repeater. The passwords are all setup correctly I believe, otherwise I wouldn't be able to connect to the main router at all.
I have no idea what to do. A lot of people say to disable ip6, but it doesn't seem to be an option in Windows 7...
