Hd 7870 or hd 7950?

I am looking to upgrade my GPU and was thinking of getting the hd 7870 but if I get a 7950 could I max out battlefield 3 at 1920x1080 and would it be compatible with my system?.

Or is there a better card for around the same price I could get.

Current specs.

More about 7870 7950
  1. You can't run a 7950 with your powersupply so a 7850 is your best bet
  2. All your components seem pretty good except for that PSU. Now I don't know what brand or model it is but even if it's the best 430w you could possibly buy I don't think running either of those cards on it is a good idea. Unless you want to upgrade your PSU right away or in the near future after buying one of those cards a 7850 takes like 30w less and would probably be okay.

You can see the load power consumption for each card is around 350, which leaves some space but not enough that I would recommend using for a long time.

  4. lol just noticed your in U.K. sorry
  5. I recommend Sapphire's HD 7950 Vapor-X comes with a large dual-fan cooler that uses the company's famous vapor-chamber technology. On the Vapor-X you will also find a "Lethal Boost" button which switches to a second BIOS with higher clock speeds. With this BIOS, clocks are increased to 950 MHz GPU and 1250 MHz memory.
