White Lightning or Alien Bee. WLs cost more, but are sturdier,
available in a more powerful size, are still economical for a pro
set-up. ABs are lower in cost, the top unit is about half the power of
the top WL, and they won't take the abuse the WLs will take, but the
overall construction and quality is still fine and there is nothing
near them in quality at a similar price.

If you want cheap but with quality, look at Visatec.

The Speedotron Brownline units are excellent. Much more versatile than
the Novatrons at about the same price.

Be sure to get the color-corrected, 5500K light heads.
