Setting to run games via hdmi

I have Samsung smart TV . I want to connect my PC to it to play games . So that's what I did I connected HDMI to TV port and other end to gfx card's HDMI port . And it worked fine. But when I started any game (NFS , binary domain) , it won't start , just a blank loading screen.
Then I unplugged HDMI and started game ,both worked fine . Is there any setting to be done ? Please help me out .

P.S.

My gfx is anti radeon HD 6000 series . I don't remember proper model number.

don't know if I can help or not. do you know the refresh rate of your TV ?.... if so, go into the CCC and set it to it or force that refresh rate. you may also look in the CCC under "my digital flat panels"/HDTV Support and look for "your" TV.... ie: scale and refresh rate..... select it and apply..........
