Hello,
This is my first dektop build. Please rate, suggest, any advice.

CPU: i5-2310 Sandy Bridge 2.9GHz
MoBo: Gigabyte z77x-UD5h
Video card: GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 650 1GB 128-bit GDDR5
RAM: G.SKILL RIPJAWS 16GB (2x8GB) 240pin ddr3
Hard-Drive: Seagate 2TB 7200rpm SATA 6GBps
Power: Corsair CX750M 750W ATX12V
Case: NZXT Phantom PHAN001-WT

if he already owns it, there no way he can do about PSU. i think it will be a good investment in the future

but yeah, the PSU is overkill :)
Power Supply: XFX 550W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($39.99 @ NCIX US)
^ this one is good and reasonable price

okay, you pick wrong the i5, it is the previous generation
pick the current i5 series 3570K or at least 3470 for cheaper price

and get 7850 or 7870 instead of gt 650. it will be huge improvement

and your case is expensive... are you sure it fits your budget???

make it 3570K with K, it will save you in the future ;)
and make sure you get RAM ddr3 1600 not 18xx or something
and add cooler master 212 evo for CPU cooler, gaming will heat the chip UP and cooler will ensure the longetivity of your parts
