Ok, building a new gaming machine. I'm in Australia so I don't have a very large selection to choose from as far as parts go.

http://www.umart.com.au is considered to have a "wide" selection *choke*

That in mind, I've come up with the following:

Monitor: Asus PB278Q 27" 2560x1440 WQHD
Case: Fractal Design Define R4 Mid-Tower ATX
CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K
Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
GPU: 2 MSI GTX 670 PE SLI
MOBO: Asus Maximus V Formula
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600MHz CL9 Low Profile CML8GX3M2A1600C9
SSD: Samsung 830 Series 256GB
HDD: Western Digital 2TB SATA3 64M Black (WD2002FAEX)
PSU: Corsair HX 750 750W ATX Power Supply, 80 PLUS GOLD
OPT DRIVE: Liteon IHBS312(BLACK) BLURAY BURNER

How does it look?

BTW: Ignore the prices for the most part, a 20oz Coke costs nearly $3 over here, so prices are a bit relative.

These forums are about 50% people talking about the MSI voltage thing, and 50% talking about how it was blown way out of proportion and how MSI are known for some of the most rock solid reliable cards in the industry... it's not like it isn't under warranty anyway, but I wouldn't worry :)

And this is the one I'm making for the wife:

Case: Fractal Design Define R4 Mid-Tower ATX
CPU: Intel Core i5-3570
Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 670 OCE
MOBO: ASUS P8H77-V
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600MHz CL9 Low Profile CML8GX3M2A1600C9
SSD: Samsung 830 Series 256GB
HDD: Western Digital 2TB SATA3 64M Black (WD2002FAEX)
PSU: Corsair HX650v2 650W ATX Power Supply, 80 PLUS GOLD
OPT DRIVE: Asus DRW-24B5ST BLK/G/AS 24X DVD-RW (x2)
PCI IEEE 1394 Firewire Card

I ended having to go with the Asus P8z77-V Pro instead of the Formula.

I know that video card would be the better option, but I've had bad experiences with Radeon in the past and after taking a hammer to the last one, swore I wouldn't buy one again. I know they are a lot better these days, but old grudges die hard. *Shakes fist in air*
