Games perfect, movies go black after 20minutes

Hello,
my brand new build:
p9x79 pro asus
I73930k
mci 7970 lightning
16 gig mem Gskill the kits made for this board, 1866ghz set manually
ocz ssd
and etc.
Samsung SyncMaster p2770 monitor
dream machine stable games on ultra for hours, perfect.

then i decide to watch streaming movies, screen goes black after a short period of time, usually 15 or 20 minutes.
have checked all the drivers and setting I know of. everything seems right.

this is a new type of problem for me. suggestions?
