i recently got a philips 107x4 17" monitor and it came with an adapter... it converts the traditional video cable into this high-tech 1 which i hav no idea wat it is... so i was wondering if any1 can tell me what the 2nd one is (it fits onto a plug on the back of my 9600 pro...) its got these wierd pins or plates at the back of it... does any1 know and is it better to use the adaptor or not?
normal CRT monitor are analog, so u use a normal connector for that, now the latest videocards come with a DVI, so u can buy a LCD with digital input (expensive) so u don't lose image quality from digital (videocard) to analog (for screen), back to digital (for your expensive LCD). Now some stuff comes with an extra plug/convertor so u can use 2 monitors on your vid card.
