why ASUS Sabertooth 990FX Discontinued

I was just about to go shopping for my new motherboard when i ran into ASUS Sabertooth 990FX Discontinued? now i had to redirect my plans. can someone please tell me why it was discontinued. and give me a good idea for a replace me ASUS motherboard

The Sabertooth board actually isn't discontinued. I found it on Newegg for $180.

Ah, the one I'm looking at is an upgraded model. The one you're looking at is an older model. They simply revised the board to make improvements.

I still highly suggest you get something like the Gigabyte board I recommended. There's no need to spend any more than $150 on a motherboard. Once you reach that range, they all do pretty much the same thing. Fancy names such as Sabertooth or Maximus Extreme are merely marketing techniques to attract consumers and provoke them to buy their product over another.

What is this computer being used for? If it's for gaming, a $180 motherboard isn't going to increase performance. Rather, you should be looking at upgrading your GPU and CPU.

Well i am build a gaming computer for eve one and guild wars 2, i will look it the gigabyte board, this is what i have so far pick out

At that price, you're better off to build your own. You'll get far better performance.
