My Pioneer CLD-D515 has developed a fault, it has trouble loading the
discs in that the tray eject mechanism works perfectly but the mechanism
that then clamps onto the disc gets stuck and I have to nudge the player
to get it to then grip the disc and start spinning.

Is there anything I can do myself to make the mechanism work better, oil
a few gears or something?

It looks like the loading belt is dirty on this one and slipping.
