Hey Guys, firstly i'd like to apoligise in advance if this is in the wrong area, im new to forums.

anyway, i'm making the jump from console gaming to pc gaming as i want to get the new Elder Scrolls Online due for release in 2013. So i've been researching alot into pc gaming and ive came up with a low to medium end build but would like some advice from you guys.

Video Card :
ASUS AMD Radeon HD 7770 Ghz Edition 2GB

Processor / CPU :
Intel Core i5-2500k Unlocked Quad Core (3.30Ghz, 6Mb Cache, 1155 Socket)

Motherboard
Asrock Z77 Extreme 4
OR
Asus P8P67-M Pro

I'm quite happy with the gpu ive chosen as it has great reviews and can play most games without difficulty and is Crossfire ready. i also like the cpu ive chosen as it also has great reviews being described as ''best bang for your buck'' and can also be OC'ed but im not sure about the mobo. ive not really looked at other parts yet so any recommendations would be great.

Thanks in advance guys!

You should probably go with a little more balance with the gpu and cpu. Overclocking the cpu is overrated in gaming you want to get a good gpu and add on from there. This would be better.
gpu - hd 7850 or 7870 $165-230
cpu - i5 3470 $180
mobo - asrock h77m $70

After you post that I'll put a build together for you.

go with the 7870
overclocking really is overrated, go for the i5 3470 mentioned above
online gaming is 70% gpu and 30% CPU in most cases. the GPU will be the most important factor~

Hey guys, thanks for the replys and advice i really appreciate your help!:)
I have a few questions regarding your advice and my build.

i really like reviews and benchmarks of the 7770 so how much better is the 7870? is it worth the extra money?
im not only using this pc for gaming im gonna be using lot of applications and although overclocking might be overrated id still like the option with the 2500k so what benefits would the 3470 bring?

so here is what im thinking

Zalman Z11 Mid Case
ASUS AMD Radeon HD 7770 Ghz Edition 2GB or 7870 (Going to Crossfire in future)
Intel Core i5-2500k Quad Core 3.30Ghz
Asrock Z77 Extreme 4
Corsair 8GB 1600Mhz CL9 DDR3 Vengeance Memory
Western Digital Scorpio Blue 500gb
OCZ ZS Series 650W

i'll also be playin on a 26" TV ut will be buying a 22" monitor soon

so what do you guys think of this setup?
will i be able to play new games such as Call of Duty, Skyrim, Elder Scrolls Online,World of WarCraft etc?

also another quetion i have is with this current setup will i be able to connect to my router wireless?

Thanks for any advice and suggestions guys! :D
