I just need some advice on my first PC build. I put this together using the format in the upgrade and build advice sticky. I hope it's easy to read and makes sense. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide me!

Approximate Purchase Date: ASAP, whenever I get a build I'm comfortable with purchasing I'll be making the purchase.

Budget Range: $1200 max(including shipping, not including the rebates)

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, Gaming, Movies, Surfing the net

Are you buying a monitor: No

Do you need to buy OS: Already bought a new copy of Windows 7

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg or Amazon

Location: I live in Pennsylvania

Parts Preferences: Intel CPU, Nvidia video card

Overclocking: Not really interested in OCing

SLI or Crossfire: Not right now(maybe in the future)

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Additional Comments: I'll be playing games likes like Dishonored, Batman: Arkham Asylum(and City), Skyrim.

Why Are You Upgrading: I'm currently using a 4 year old PC my father bought for me and it has been reliable but its age is starting to show. Instead of upgrading small parts here and there(in this dell xps), I want to just start new.

The following are the parts I've put together so far:

CPU: Intel Core i5-3450 Ivy Bridge 3.1GHz (3.5GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 77W Quad-Core $194.99

Mobo: ASRock Z75 Pro3 LGA 1155 Intel $84.99

Video Card: GIGABYTE GV-N670OC-2GD GeForce GTX 670 2GB $399.99

Hard drive: WD Blue 1 TB Desktop Hard Drive: 3.5 Inch, 7200 RPM, SATA III, 64 MB Cache - WD10EZEX $77.99

RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) $44.99

Case: COOLER MASTER HAF 922 RC-922M-KKN3-GP $99.99

PSU: Rosewill Green Series RG530-S12 530W $54.99

CPU Cooler(I was told by a friend I should pick one up): COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 $29.99

Okay i would recommend bringing that psu to atleast 600w for that video card and since your friend advised for you to get hyper 212 youre probally going to overclock because its easy so get at least a 650w psu also your video card is a bit overkill for your cpu if you can try getting a radeon 7870 2gb and a core i7 for a boost in things like surfing the web while still maintaining the same fps in gaming,..

I wouldn't purchase that power supply period. It's not a very good line from a manufacturer that is only a tier 2 or tier 3 at best.

If you're not going to overclock I'd drop the extra fan (you don't need it), throw out the power supply (it's not good), and get a different motherboard.

Try something like this:

Thanks for the great reply. I was wondering if you could recommend me an Nvidia card instead of AMD.
