Gtx 560 sli

I managed to get my hands on a second gtx560 and wanted to SLI but apparently my motherboard only supports crossfire. I personally dont know one damn thing about motherboards, can anyone recommend a good motherboard in the $150 price range that supports sli and a intel core i5 3570k processor?
Thanks

  1. Could you post your motherboard model here.

    Something like this will work....

It's kind of difficult to tell on newegg if it supports SLI. There is no way to search for it. This one supports it though, is 1155, and 4 slots. It also has usb 3.0 and Sata3.
Only thing it doesn't have is thunderbolt, if you'd have any use for that.

    Good luck.
  2. thanks, my motherboard is a p877-v lx
  3. Make sure you have the power supply for the cards.

    This should run SLI.
  4. my powersupply is a thermaltake tr2 rx 750w, apparently its ok
  5. Its alright....not the power supply I would trust to running two of those cards.
  6. yea i was thinking of switching to a corsair tx 750w, any recommendations?
  7. The TX750 would do the trick. Earthwatts is also good.
