Convert older program

Hello,
I need to run an older program called, Alamo-Victory or Death, by Archimedia. I have Windows 7 and have tried several things. No 64 bit version is available. i am a teacher and this program has been a central teaching unit for our study of the Alamo.

What several things have you tried? What are the requirements? UAC turned off, running as admin, and in any reduced settings that might be needed?

yes, use the properties of the .exe to install it under compatability mode, and run it the same.

It's an ancient CD set compatible with Win 3.1.... I'm not sure it what is driving it, so I can't say what is needed.

Perhaps DOSBox?

Seems to me there might be a more modern way to get the job done.
