Hi Folks,

I have a problem with USB devices like card readers and
sticks. When I connect a USB stick with my machine,
the "found new hardware assistent" pops up and asks for a
driver for this device. It needs only the driver shiped
with XP, which didn't found it.
I get an error in the setupapi.log. XP calls the
DIF_SelectBestCompatDrv and write an error.
This happens with all devices, which needs only the
standard XP drivers. If vendors ships a seperate device
driver, it works without a problem !
Have you a tip, what I can do, to localize the problem or
resolve it.

Ciao
Peter
