I recently ordered a copy of windows 7 for my PC build from the US. However, at the moment I'm living outside the US. The box states I wont be able to activate the copy unless I am in the US. I've read online, that when this occurs, you need to contact Microsoft Support and activate the copy over the phone. Is this how it should be done, or is a proxy more practical.
The easiest way I have found out to solve Windows related problems is speak to the live chat support they offer. I can't seem to find the link now but if you search for it, just speak to one of the reps in live chat and they will help you.
