GTX 670ftw+ vram question.

So I'm getting a EVGA GeForce GTX 670FTW+ that I plan on eventually purchasing again to SLI, and around that same time get another monitor for dual screen setup. I know it's overkill, but I'd still like to upgrade with more monitors as time goes on.

My question regards to the vram being used on just one monitor while gaming. I've heard on Newegg from a review that having 4gb of vram and only using it on one monitor can actually decrease performance. To me that makes absolutely no sense, but I want to make sure before I buy the card. So is that true?

Sorry for the dumb question, but when it comes to spending $450 on something like that I want to be absolutely sure I know everything about it. Thanks!

I think that newegg review is wrong. The higher resolution you have the more vram will benefit you

when having 2 cards in SLI, you get the same amount of VRAM...2GB.
