Gtx 670 4 gb or hd 7970 3 gb

i have a chance to choose between the evga gtx 670 4gb for $375 or a sapphire hd 7970 3 gb. Im going to be gaming on a single monitor at 1920x1080.
which card would you suggest? is the 7970 with the new drivers better than the 670 and which one will get higher framerates?

You don't need 4GB ram. 2GB ram will be a bit cheaper and lower in power. As of now the pendulum seems to have swung over to AMD so perhaps the 7970 will give you best performance.
