SLI on differnt cards

Hello, I recently built my first computer (6 months ago) and just yesterday I upgraded from a Asus GTX 550 ti 1GB VRAM, to an EVGA 660 ti overclocked 2GB VRAM, My asus card came with an SLI bridge and I was wondering whether or not i can put these two cards in SLI for a slight performance boost?

  1. They will not SLI together because they are in different GPU families.
  2. No you can not use them in SLI, you can set the gtx 550 ti as a physx. I don't know if it will really give you any improvment in most games though. Also you would need to make sure you have a good enough PSU to support them both.
