Graphics-related boot problem
Nov 8, 2012, 2:19 AM
Hi everyone, yesterday for seemingly no reason my computer wouldn't show anything after the Windows 7 logo on boot - not even a cursor.
I eventually figured out that it was my graphics driver causing the problem.
It would boot in Safe Mode but to boot in Normal Mode I have to use the standard VGA driver instead of the driver that came with the laptop.
I've tried multiple drivers however and none of them seem to work except the standard VGA.
I've tried System Restore, repair, and sfc came out fine.
Currently running Windows 7 Home Premium x64 with an AMD Mobility Radeon 5730.
