Want to buy graphics card first time please help.

Hello, i have intel g31 chipset ,, have 2.5 ghz intel cor 2 duo processors.. currently have 1 gb ddr2 ram but going to upgrade it...so now m going to buy first timme graphics card.. but dont know which i have to buy..and 1 thing motherboard havew pci e 1.1 x16 slot for gcard.

so please anyone help me to buy my first graphics card..please ..thanks in advance..

any my budget is near 100$.. or less..as i want to play games like COD Latest and AC 3..

what is your power supply brand and wattage? resolution that you will be playing at? for such budget you can look for 7750. at abit you can get 7770

i am sorry for power supply m using at home ..but m in india...so m not sure,,,how to tell u and what to tell u for that.. but this power supply is common in all gujarat state... so m sure the power will be no problem, and resolution will be 1200x type... thanks for reply.

Well your in trouble then. You currently dont meet the minimum RAM requirements. Your processor is BARLEY making it.

Any PCI-e 1.0 slot is supported on nearly all graphics cards, they may have PCIe 3.0 labeled on them, but they are backwards compatible.
Shoot for a 7750-7770.

as i lloked in g31 config its says 1.1 x16 slot..and what is 7750-7770 means in nvidia ? soory for bothering u more..

hes talking about amd radeon hd 7750 which comes for about 7500 rs.
you could also look at nvidia gt 640 or gtx 650 but both are currently overpriced.
the zotac synergy gt 630 is a decent card only if your monitor resolution is either 1366*768 or 1280*720.
if your budget is low rather than gt 630 i would suggest amd radeon 6670 ddr3 which comes for less than 5000 rs.

thanks mohit...so the listed gcards u above are compatible with pci-e 1.1 x16 slots ? and my monitor capable for 1280*720 also i have LED TV for gaming it also supports this resolutions.. so now m i now ready for buying graphics card .. and please look this link ..

is it compatible.. ?

and the one u mentioned it says .. requirment is win 7 i have win xp currently please suggest

your link isnt working . but yes the 6670 is the best graphics card for 5000rs budget.
and yes it will work on your pcie 1.1 motherboard
