Evga 670 ftw

Hi, I decided to go with the Evga 670 ftw edition, it's this one http://pcpartpicker.com/ca/part/evga-video-card-02gp42676kr

Can someone tell me if this is the ftw edition, and if someone has it, can someone please tell me about how many fps I will be getting in bf3 ultra in 1080p?
Any help is nice.

  1. This is the real FTW http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130787 your looking at the 670 FTW LE there two different cards and no i don't know the difference between them
  2. Yes it is the FTW edition, as for FPS for bf3 it also depends on your CPU. If you have a decent one then you would be fine. Heres a benchmark of what the 670 does on battlefield and a lot of other high end games.

I answered what the poster asked, he asked if it was a FTW edition and indeed it is. If he asked if it was the original FTW then no its not.

I don't care who answers XD Thanks for the info. But i'm mostly worring about bf3 ultra and skyrim with mods while recording for youtube.
Is it safe to say that while recording bf3, I can get about 60 fps, since that is what I have seen on almost the exact same spec pcs?
  8. I say so but can't guarantee it. These test were with old drivers which means performance is better now so i think your good. http://img837.imageshack.us/img837/5391/graph03.jpg

Are the numbers taken with fraps recording or not recording?

Yes that is the original FTW edition. As for FPS, with my 660 Ti and 3570k I get about 70+ on bf3, and skyrim with hi res textures and mods. And I run 2 1600x900 monitors. Youll run skyrim and bf3 fine, as for the really GPU intensive games like crysis and metro theyll be fine as well. There going going to be as good as bf3 but very playable.

As for game recording, fraps is the worst to play with. If your going to use a screen recording software go with DxTory. Doesnt use as much CPU and IMO has better quality. The FPS will be reduced though by alot. If your wanting to maintain perfect fps and have the best quality possible heres something to look into investing in. I my self have used fraps and dxtory for years now and this is by far the best. It doesnt use any CPU at all and compresses everything its self, so you wont have 10 mins of video that is 100+gb of space.

Its just to look into, I love it and it defiantly was worth it for me.

Im not a fraps fan, I can use dxtory, I heard playclaw is pretty good as well. Which do you think has better quality?

To be honest I've never heard of playclaw, Ill check that out though. DxTory has better quality then fraps, and runs so much better.
