I'll try to make this as brief and understandable as possible.
I've been having problems with my Sapphire Radeon HD 7850 2GB. I was getting severe screen flickering whilst on most games, it doesn't happen at all when I'm on desktop. I'm not talking about lines across the screen, I'm talking about horizontal or vertical flickering black or white 'chunks' mostly in diamond-ish shapes.
I was informed by Sapphire Support to update my BIOs and try a different display driver. I updated the BIOs as I was told and I'm now running 12.17beta as the display driver. Doing this seemed to almost solve the problem, I was playing for an hour or so with no noticeable flickers and then suddenly, boom, one appears for a second, another half an hour later, boom, there it is again.
This might sound petty, considering it's not happening very much. Though if you are a gamer and have spent a wad of cash on a card, you want it to run perfectly.
I've read somewhere that it could be something to do with my 2d/3d clocks conflicting or something? I'm not experienced with clocks but I can tell you that MSi afterburner is displaying 860/1200. However I'm completely miffed as to where to change my 2d clock, or whether I should actually change it.
Please forever the lack of technical knowledge, pretty much why I've ended up having to post here. I'm lost on this one and really hope that someone can provide some insight and hopefully, a solution.
Thank you guys, sorry for the wall of text. Wanted to make this as clear and concise as I could. Let me know if you need any more info!
