Cant get GTX 660 ti to work, monitor will not turn on

Hey everyone,
Im Trying to install a GTX 660 ti on my asus computer

I've upgraded the power supply to a 500w

whenever I put the gtx 660 ti in the computer the display doesn't turn on

when I put the old card back in everything starts up no problems

I've done this multiple times ad made sure the card is sitting correctly and power supply hooked up to it

Im also using windows 8 if that's an issue at all

Have you tried the card in another computer/motherboard?

I cant try it in another computer or motherboard as this is my only computer its really frustrating that I cant get it to work

I doubt there is anything wrong with the graphics card.
First of all though please list the name of the PSU so we can check it has enough power to run the card, it may say 500W but you need to look at how many amps are put out on the 12v rails. sticker should be on the PSU with the details on.

the power supply is an XIGMATEK 80PLUS BRONZE POWER TAURO POWER FORCE

that's everything written up the side of the PSU
