Ok I have a Gateway laptop that needed a new motherboard. This is an AMD based computer that has an Athlon II with an seperate AMD video chip soldered onto the motherboard directly below the CPU. Now the CPU had thermal paste and the graphics chip has a thermal pad BUT it's not the type that melts it's the jelly kind that you use on a water block. So I had a few questions. I bought Fujipoly thermal pads .5 thickness.
Is this an ok brand to use?
Is this thickness ok, do you think it is to thick?
There are two sides one is textured the other is smooth, which side goes up?
